Are there any differences between the adverse events induced by citalopram and escitalopram?

The adverse-event profile of escitalopram is similar to that of citalopram. There are no new, unexpected events as compared to the citalopram database. The side-effects are mild and transient. Escitalopram is serotonin-specific and offers an adverse-event dropout rate that is similar to that of placebo (ref.1), (ref.2) and (ref.3).
