Does escitalopram change (interconvert) to R-citalopram after intake?

Different studies have shown that no interconversion takes place. If, after (oral) intake, escitalopram converted in vivo into its mirror-molecule, R-citalopram, there would be no benefit in developing escitalopram. Similarly, R-citalopram does not convert into escitalopram (ref.1).
