Nausea

Cipralex-induced side effects are relatively rare. However, the most common side effect of Cipralex treatment is nausea. While it may be unpleasant, it’s nothing to worry about and it will most likely vanish after 10-15 days.

In fact, studies have shown that after approximately 14 days, Cipralex is no more likely to cause nausea than a dummy pill.

Other possible side effects

In addition to nausea, other side effects have been associated with Cipralex. However, in testing, patients who were prescribed placebo had nearly the same symptoms as patients who were prescribed Cipralex. And since most of these are also common symptoms of depression, it is difficult to know whether these are truly side effects of Cipralex or just a normal part of the disease.

Other side effects that may be associated with Cipralex are:

• Diarrhoea
• Dry Mouth
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Insomnia
• Sleepiness
• Runny nose
• Flu-like symptoms
• Ejaculation disorder
• Congested sinuses
