Efficacy in generalised anxiety disorder (GAD)

Cipralex demonstrates efficacy advantages over paroxetine in the treatment of patients with GAD.

Significant improvements in GAD symptoms were seen from week 1 onwards in patients treated with escitalopram (10 mg/day) compared with placebo. Escitalopram (20mg/day) significantly reduced the risk of relapse compared with placebo.
