Cipralex vs. placebo (GAD)

Significant improvements in GAD symptoms were seen from week 1 onwards in patients treated with escitalopram (10 mg/day) compared with placebo. Escitalopram (20mg/day) significantly reduced the risk of relapse compared with placebo.

Mean change from baseline in HAM-A total score (ref.1)

Change in HAM-A score in patients with GAD after treatment with escitalopram and placebo.
* Significantly different from placebo, p<0.05
** Significantly different from placebo, p<0.01
*** Significantly different from placebo, p<0.001

Kaplan-Meier estimate (ref.2)

Kaplan-Meier survival analysis of relapse. Time to relapse showed a significant advantage for patients treated with escitalopram (20 mg/day) compared with patients treated with placebo (p<0.001).
