Cipralex vs. paroxetine (GAD)

Cipralex offers advantages over paroxetine in the treatment of patients with generalised anxiety disorder.

Escitalopram (10 mg/day) was statistically superior to paroxetine 20 mg/day in the treatment of GAD after 12 weeks.

On discontinuation of treatment, significantly more discontinuation-emergent symptoms were recorded for paroxetine.
