Tolerability
Cipralex is well tolerated in the short- and long-term treatment and adverse events are generally mild and transient.
In the past, poor tolerability was the price to be paid when trying to reach higher remission rates, regardless of class of compound used. Especially drugs with a non-selective mode of action (TCAs and SNRIs) were perceived more efficacious, but at significantly lower levels of tolerability. Cipralex offers full clinical effect while being well tolerated. Cipralex is weight neutral, well tolerated in short- and long-term treatment and adverse events are generally mild.
