Good tolerability profile

Cipralex has a good tolerability profile, and is tolerated at least as well as citalopram in both short-term and long-term studies.

Adverse events (ref.1)

Treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) from four escitalopram, placebo-controlled clinical studies in depression, occuring in more than 5% of patients and at a higher frequency than placebo

Cipralex has a good tolerability profile, and is tolerated at least as well as citalopram in both short-term and long-term studies.

Cipralex is better tolerated than venlafaxine xr (ref.2)
